Business Operations & Social Media Intern

SDDC is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, organized and results-driven candidate to carry out our 2022 social media and business strategy. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the latest content scheduling tools and current social media trends. Additionally, this person will also possess stellar planning and influence skills that they will leverage to assist SDDC in planning and executing 2020 business strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a solid understanding of SDDC’s programs, scheduling and activites

  • Assist with the design and execution of SDDC social media strategy

  • Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote SDDC on various social media platforms

  • Create and distribute content including info-graphics, videos, reels, CTAs, etc. on social media

  • Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability

  • Support SDDC at live and online events

  • Assist with design and execution of 2022 business strategy and planning efforts including planning quarterly planning meetings, advanced learning opportunities for students and more.

  • Support leaders on projects designed to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.

  • Benchmark industry competitors and develop forward-thinking strategy to maintain competitive advantage

  • Printing, sorting, documenting, and filing of an array business documents

  • Answer questions and general inquires via email

  • Source and pitch various merchandise for brand recognition, and administrative support as needed.

  • Supporting any recruitment processes, as needed.

  • Engage in volunteer activities/community outreach to build knowledge of our communities and clients

qualifications

  • Enrollment in a Communications, Marketing, Business or related program at a local college or university

  • Dance majors are also welcome to apply

  • At least sophomore standing or graduate student with a 2.5 GPA or higher

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and as a member of a team

  • Excellent organizational skills to deal with multiple projects and priorities

  • Impeccable oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent internet research skills

  • Mastery of the major social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok

  • Knowledge of social media analytics software including Facebook Insights and Google Analytics to track audience engagement and campaign performance

  • Experience with content management systems, word processor applications and image/video editing software

  • Responsible for maintaining confidential information to the highest degree


Dance Instructor

description

This candidate will be responsible for teaching and training a dynamic group of students in a range of techniques and dance styles, ensuring that all students are engaged, motivated and practicing industry standard safety procedures and techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to teach using various dance styles and methodologies from beginner to advanced level.

  • Develop dance curriculum and prepare lesson plans.

  • Ability to communicate with a diverse group of teachers and students.

  • Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach their goals.

  • Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Choreograph routines and select music for recitals and concerts.

  • Conduct group and private lessons as required.

  • Provide a fun and creative environment.

  • Keep up to date in your discipline and implement any changes to the dance routines and curriculum as needed.
